Neag School Community Reads

The Neag School Equity and Social Justice Committee’s Community Reading Initiative, launched in 2018, invites Neag School faculty, staff, and students to invest in one another’s learning and professional growth in order to advance the equity and social justice knowledge and skills of the Neag School community. Each semester, the ESJC selects a book for the community to read to support this learning.

Purpose

The purpose of this initiative is to bring the Neag School community together a few times per semester to build community and provide professional development through the reading of a selected book. Together, we unpack the reading and discuss how we can apply our learning to our research, teaching, practice, service (within and outside of the Neag School), and lives.
