The Neag School of Education is delighted to be able to celebrate this year’s graduating class on campus for UConn’s 2022 Commencement Weekend.
Masks will be strongly encouraged but not required at each ceremony.
Undergraduate Commencement
The Neag School 2022 Undergraduate Commencement ceremony will be held at the Jorgensen Center for the Performing Arts at UConn Storrs.
The Undergraduate Commencement ceremony keynote address will be given by Minister Theresia Bauer of Germany, and alumni remarks will be delivered by Neag School alumna and former UConn women’s basketball player Batouly Camara ’19 (ED), ’20 MA. Learn more about these featured speakers.

- 7:45 a.m. — Student procession forms in Gentry Building Atrium
- 8 a.m. — Doors open for guests at Jorgensen
- 8:45 a.m. — Class of 2022 procession begins
- 9 a.m. — Ceremony begins at Jorgensen (Note that the ceremony will also be live-streamed.)
- 10:30 a.m. — Reception for graduates and guests at Gentry Building
Graduate Commencement
Master’s and Sixth-Year Candidates
The Neag School 2022 Graduate Commencement ceremony for master’s and sixth-year diploma candidates will be held at Gampel Pavilion at UConn Storrs.

- 7:30 a.m. — Student breakfast reception and hooding assistance in Gentry Building Atrium
- 8 a.m. — Doors open at Gampel Pavilion
- 9 a.m. — Ceremony begins at Gampel (Note that the ceremony will also be live-streamed.)
Doctoral Candidates
The Neag School 2022 Graduate Commencement ceremony for doctoral candidates will be held at the Jorgensen Center for the Performing Arts at UConn Storrs.

- 5 p.m. — Doors open at Jorgensen
- 6 p.m. — Ceremony begins at Jorgensen (Note that the ceremony will also be live-streamed.)
Guest Tickets and More Information
- Distribution of guest tickets is now underway, via the UConn Bookstore at UConn Storrs.
- The Commencement ceremonies will be livestreamed for those who cannot attend in person.
- Metal detectors will be in use at all ceremonies held in Gampel Pavilion, Jorgensen Center for the Performing Arts, and the Student Union Theater. You will be asked to remove cameras, cell phones, headwear, keys, and other large metal objects. You will not need to remove belts, coins, wallets, watches/jewelry.
- Balloons are not permitted at the Commencement ceremony venues.
