Bio
Dr. Steve Hoff is a licensed psychologist in Connecticut, New York, and Massachusetts, and a licensed school psychologist in New York City. He completed his school psychology Master’s level training at City College, in New York City, and his doctoral degree in Child/School Psychology at New York University. He has presented nationally and internationally on topics related to youth mental health. He is co-founder of Barrington Psychology Inc. in Great Barrington, Massachusetts, which specializes in individual and family therapy for child and adolescent mental health issues, and provides consultation to schools and agencies. He is also co-founder of the Invivo Institute for Effective Communication, a teletherapy practice offering evidence-based treatment and mental health support for clients with complex communication disorders. Prior to making the transition to academia, Steve spent several years as a school psychologist and crisis response trainer in the New York City public schools. He has published articles in the journals Psychology in the Schools, Perspectives, and in the National Association of School Psychologists monthly publication, the Communique.
