Visiting Clinical Faculty

Expertise: Youth mental health, crisis intervention, organizational consulting

Educational Psychology

I am thrilled to join the UConn school psychology team as Visiting Clinical Faculty! I have taught mental health, child development, counseling, ethics, and fieldwork/seminar courses for many years at my previous school. I am a licensed psychologist in Connecticut, New York, and Massachusetts, and a licensed school psychologist in New York City. I have presented nationally and internationally on the topic of youth mental health. My private practice specializes in child and adolescent mental health – individual therapy and consultation to schools. Hailing from Queens, NY, I spent several years as a school psychologist and crisis response trainer in the New York City public schools. I moved to Great Barrington, MA more than 20 years ago with my wife and we have found the Berkshires a great place to raise our three sons. My German Shepherd Hazel likes it here too. In my free time I love to spend time in nature, stay physically fit, and coach youth sports – namely the Monument Mountain High School Ultimate Frisbee team.
