Educational Psychology

Celeste D. C. Sodergren, M.A., Ph.D. completed her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology in gifted studies with a qualitative concentration. She holds a B.A. in English Literature, an M.A. in Communication, and both teacher and mid-management certificates. She has previously served as a teacher of the gifted and talented in Texas, as a district Coordinator and Director of Advanced Academics, as Program Manager for Baylor TIP, and now is a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Connecticut in the Renzulli Center for Gifted Education, Creativity, and Talent Development. Her research interests include gifted program leadership development, self-beliefs, parent and teacher beliefs about gifted children, and closing the research to practice gap.
