Neag School faculty will nominate to the Dean’s Doctoral Scholars program highly qualified Ph.D. program applicants who have a clearly expressed professional goal of becoming a faculty member at a research intensive university.

All Neag School Ph.D. programs are eligible for the Dean’s Doctoral Scholars program. Choose the Ph.D. program of most interest to you and follow the application guidelines set forth by that program.

The Dean’s Doctoral Scholars Program is not accepting applications at this time.

To be considered as a Dean’s Doctoral Scholar, please do the following within the cover letter of your doctoral application, or contact your preferred advisor (see Step 2):

1. Indicate your interest in being considered for the Dean’s Doctoral Scholar program.
2. Identify a potential faculty advisor with whom you would like to work. We encourage you to review faculty profiles on our website. There should be a clear match between your research interests and the work of your potential advisor. Please reach out to the potential advisor to discuss your research interests and your professional goals that support the pursuit of a Ph.D.
